After Flagstaff, we drove to Las Vegas where the boys and I dropped off Tad. He had a conference there for work for 4 nights, so the kids and I headed up to my parents house in St. George. The first day we hit the outlets, like any good trip, I believe you should start and end with shopping. My boys don't agree, but hey, I was the only parent around, so I got to decide. Then we headed up to the red cliffs for some hiking.
It was a little crazy making sure no one fell off, but we had a great time climbing around. A great view of St. George. You can see the temple to the left of Ethan.
We found and hiked "Fat Man's Misery" or "Fat Man's Wiggle" as my parents call it. It is a narrow crevice between two rocks that I have to walk sideways to get through. Logan wanted to go through it too, but there are some steep parts, so Dallin helped Gavin and Ethan through. They thought it was a blast! I remember hiking this same place when I was their age and loving it too.
An awesome view with Sugar Loaf in the background.
They loved climbing into little holes in the rock.
Another day we visited and toured Brigham Young's winter home. We were there almost 2 years ago and I was impressed with how many details and stories Dallin remembered about the house and about Brigham Young.
Our trip was complete with a trip to the St. George temple.
My grandparents were sealed there so it is really special to me.

I love St. George!! I miss those red rocks!!
Wow, I once spent a couple days in St. George and thought I did everything... apparently not! I'd love to check out the red cliffs, but I think the fat man's misery might make me panic. I'd agree with the shopping statement if there were no kids involved ;)
