Bearizona

The next day we headed to Bearizona on our way to drop Tad off in Las Vegas for his work conference.

It is just a few miles from Flagstaff.

My own little bear cubs ready for some fun.

We visited the petting zoo area first where they have farm animals you can pet then several areas with other animals that you can watch.  We enjoyed watching the bear cubs as they were so active wrestling with each other, climbing trees and rolling around.  They had brown and black bears.

They were so cute to watch!  They even had baby cubs (3 mos. old) in the visitor center where they feed them and keep them warm that you could see up close.

We saw an pretty cool bird show where they fly right over your head.  Dallin's favorite was the great horned owl.

Then we got in our car for the "drive-thru" part of the park.  There are no fences to keep the animals back, so you just drive slow with your windows up and look for the animals.  We saw foxes...

....white bison.....

....burro (this one came right up next to our car)...

....and big horn sheep, and more bears.

It was a fun place to visit and would recommend it if you're in the area!

Missed NJ so much you had to go to a bear zoo, huh?! :) Your camera takes such great pics - what kind do you have? I've almost convinced Eric it's time for a new one. :)

Okay, you are amazing to get that fantastic picture of the owl. I think I should have used burst mode when we went. Good to see you blogging again!!

Oh yeah, I am disappointed you didn't post a picture of yourself kissing the bear statue. I told you to kiss him for me!
