Nana comes for a visit

We always love when family & friends come to visit, but especially nana's, grandpa's & grandma's because then the kids get spoiled and mom and dad get a break from putting the kids to bed. Nana brought Dallin a new book & he had her read it to him every night. It was a nice break! It also gave us a chance to show her some of the sites we've discovered in New Jersey. I'm sure Nana really enjoyed this trip because it didn't involve her helping us unpack just after we moved here, babysitting the kids all by herself while Tad and I went on a cruise or taking care of me and newborns just after we got home from the hospital. Nana's are the BEST!!

Tad, my mom (Nana) and I went to see Mamma Mia and absolutely LOVED it! If you're an ABBA fan, then it is a must see!

After the show, we got to meet a few of the actors and actresses from the broadway. Here I am with "Donna". She was fabulous and had a great voice.

Sunday afternoon, we showed Nana the Delaware Water Gap, which we had only discovered on Memorial Day. It is so picturesque there. We then roasted mellows and made smores.

Monday we headed down to the Jersey Shore. And of course, it rained! We got all set-up (beach tent, umbrella, sandbuckets and shovels galore, sunblock, etc. only for it to DOWNPOUR an hour later. Good thing we had our huge beach umbrella because we used it as a cover from the rain, which drew quite a bit of attention to ourselves. Luckily, the beach spot we took her to has a good boardwalk, so we did some shopping and carnival game playing instead between torrential rains.

Dallin enjoying a few waves before the rains come. Good thing he has his arm floaties on, as I'm pretty sure they wouldn't really do too much to save him when the tide comes in, but hey, he feels safer in them, so who am I to argue?!

Nana and Dallin made some fun treats and enjoyed spending time together. They made an "aquarium" out of blue jell-o and put in ju-ju fish before the jell-o set up. It was really cute, but I think I should have bought swedish fish, as the ju-ju fish were disgusting when we tried to eat them out of the jell-o.

The falls in Paterson. Nana really enjoyed these.

What trip to visit the Teeples is complete without a Mets game?
