Memorial Day Weekend & More...

We couldn't decide where to go for Memorial Day weekend, so we decided to stay close to home and see a few sites close by. On Saturday we went to Central Park and Central Park Zoo, which is about an hour or so away. The zoo is small, but perfect for our young family. For Memorial Day, we went to our ward's annual Memorial Day BBQ at the church, which is always a lot of fun followed by soaking the bishop with waterguns, which is Dallin's favorite part, of course. He even went prepared this year with his water goggles on. Then we went with a couple families from our ward over to the Delaware Water Gap, which is a popular spot for rafting, biking, kayaking, etc. We made smores and hung out by the Delaware River.

The sea lions were my favorite part at Central Park Zoo, but Dallin's was the penguins. He often pretends he is a penguin and waddles around. Who know why?

Ethan at Central Park. The thing I love most about Central Park is that there are always lots of people there who are sleeping, reading, biking, playing, etc. It is a beautiful & HUGE park.

The first time Dallin & I went to Central Park (I was pregnant with the twins and Tad was in NYC in mettings) we happened upon this slide. So, now every time we go to Central Park, Dallin wants to come to this slide. It is super long and really fast! You go alot faster with a piece of cardboard under you, so that is what Dallin's sitting on.

The boys on the way home - peace and quiet for Tad & I!

Gavin taking over someone else's lawn chair at the ward BBQ.

Tad & Ethan at the Delaware Water Gap. Two of my handsome boys.

Roasting marshmellows over a little buddy burner. Dallin & Heather's look a bit burned. Heather was quite the smore maker!

Dallin & his friend Addie at the Delaware Water Gap.

Laura Flowers, Emily Kramer & me
The day after Memorial Day, we had some of our friends & old neighbors from Woods Cross come and stay with us for three nights. It was so fun to see them and their beautiful daughter Audrey (who was born just after we moved). Laura lives just outside of Boston where she is going to law school. She is also a great friend and previous neighbor from Woods Cross. It was so fun to have a neighborhood reunion! We went with our friends, The Kramers, into the city on Thursday and spend the day with them there, which was a great time!

Gavin and Tad at Rockefeller Plaza. YES, Gavin WALKS!! He just recently mastered it, and loves to walk around in circles in our home.

Ethan chasing the birds at Rockefeller Plaza. He was so cute crawling after them. He'd quickly turn around and look for them again when they flew away.

Dallin trying on lots of pretty jewelry at H&M, which is one of my favorite stores out here.

Emily, Audrey, Chewbacca, Dallin & I at F.A.O. Swartz toy store. Chewy is made completely of Lego's; he's pretty cool. They had a Batman made of Lego's about that size and Tad asked one of the employees if we could buy one (sarcastically of course) and the employee said it is 27,000 pieces and $27,000!!

Dallin playing on the "Big" piano at F.A.O.
