This year our 4th of July was different than usual. It didn't involve a parade with our friends, The Coopers, nor did it involve a BBQ with lots of our dear NJ friends. We did however swim in our pool, BBQ (by ourselves) and went to the community sponsored fireworks. While we missed our NJ friends and traditions, we still tried to make it memorable, and I think we did.
Gavin has become quite the little fish, along with Dallin, loving swimming a couple times a week in our pool.
Logan loving his little floatie.
Dallin showing me the butterfly - he's become a great swimmer.
Ethan is still unsure about the "deep water" but loves hanging out in the shallow.
This is the festive dessert I made...the boys loved it!
We went to the park a couple of hours before the fireworks started, and they had lots and lots of bounce houses and slides, which the boys enjoyed until the fireworks started.
I loved the look on Logan face while he watched the fireworks. He's say, "Whoa" and point to the sky.
By the time we got home it was late, so the next night we made s'mores and lit sparklers. Ethan & Gavin had never seen sparklers before as they are illegal in NJ, so they thought they were fun.
I am thankful to live in the U.S. and thankful for all our country stands for. I am also thankful for religious freedom.
