Strawberry Picking & Kindergarten Shows

The middle of June found us strawberry picking with our ward playgroup and attending Dallin's Kindergarten Show. Dallin just ended school this past week, on June 23rd, so now I feel like summer has finally begun.

We went strawberry picking at Alstede Farm.
Ethan and Gavin with their new friend Jordan posing as farm animals.

The strawberry fields were a ways away, so instead of walking/carrying two little two-year olds, they hopped on a cart with their friend Cole.

Gavin LOVED picking the strawberries and was VERY good at it! It didn't matter to him that they weren't all the way ripe. I had to very sneakily go through his carton after he was done a remove a "select few".

Picking away...

Gavin showing some of his prize strawberries off.

Ethan with his loot! He was very determined that HE carry it all the way back; he didn't need any help from mom!

What to do with all these strawberries......homemade strawberry jam, of course!

Kindergarten Show

For the end of year program, the kindergarteners put on a show of some of the songs they've learned over the past year. It was really cute and Dallin did a great job!
(Dallin is the one on the top row, in the middle, looking at the camera.)

Dallin after the show with one of his best friends, Brandon.

Dallin and his teacher Miss Teller.
She was the permanent substitute for the last two months of school, as his "real" teacher, Mrs. Danis, had a baby.

As usual, your kids are just adorable. I love their independence and individuality.
I love the picture with Dallin looking at the camera. He is just so cute!

Strawberry picking looks like such a fun activity, and your jam looks delicious. We need to start timing our visits to Utah so we are here at the same time! Miss you.
