In mid-May, my girlfriends Jen, Heather, Alene and I decided to have a girls day in New York City. Thanks to our great husbands who tended to the nine children we collectively left at home. We left at 7:30 a.m., and didn't get home until after midnight - we definitely made a DAY out of it.
We started off by making a quick trip to the temple, then hit the subway to ride down to Canal Street......let the shopping begin!

Jen inside one of the purse shops on Canal Street. We had a blast buying necklaces, purses, scarves, sunglasses, and other great finds.
Here we are showing off our purse purchases in Little Italy. We ate at a little pizza parlor in Little Italy.
We caught the subway back up to Central Park and went on a carriage ride of the vast park....so romantic!! (he he) It was great because I've been to the park several times, but saw a lot of sites I haven't ventured to yet.
Inside Central Park; people enjoying the sun. It's amazing how many people there are!

Last, we ate dinner at a great Mexican restaurant, Rosa Mexicano, then headed over to see South Pacific on broadway, and it was fabulous! I love these girls and enjoyed spending the day with them!

I heard there were "bums" at South Pacific. Hope you girls enjoyed it. If you're interested in another girls' day and want to see West Side Story, I'm in.
