Girls Trip to San Antonio

This girls trip was long overdue! My mom, my two sisters-in-laws (Carin & Courtney) and my niece Reagan and I headed to San Antonio, TX for some warm weather, theme parks and fun. We all met there and immediately headed for shopping. I had such a great time hanging out with my mom and sisters-in-laws, especially since I don't get to see them too often. We had a great time reminiscing about past times, and creating new memories too! Tad earned the "father of the year" award in my book because he had the kids 3 & 1/2 days all by himself - what a great man!

After shopping the first day, we ate at La Margarita's, which was great Mexican food. Good Mexican food is really hard to find where we live in Jersey.

After eating at La Margarita's, we headed down to the famous riverwalk. Here we are on a boat on the riverwalk.

This is a view of the riverwalk. It is a man-made river lined with shops and restaurants. It is a really fun place to visit and dine.

The second day we went to Sea World, which I absolutely loved! This is at the Shamu show.

The sea lions and walrus show is one of my absolute favorites. Here is a walrus waving goodbye. He actually even laid on his back and did sit-ups - amazing animals they are!

I think this is a fabulous shot of my friend Sammy, the sea lion. Isn't he cute?

That night we quickly visited the Alamo on our way back to the riverwalk to enjoy another one of the fabulous restaurants there. A girls trip just isn't complete without great food.

On the riverwalk there is a "Five & Dime" store, which we found some real treasures. I found these darling pink cowgirl hats with fluff on them and some pink shotguns and we had a great time doing our own little photo shoot right there in the store. I felt like I was in high school again. Crazy things happen when you gets girls together! Nana also found some "jumping beans" which I gave Dallin and he thought they were pretty cool, but he loves the "pop gun" (with a cork) best.

I dressed Reagan up again in the "Five & Dime" store. Isn't she cute? I'm sure they were ready to kick us out at this point.

The third day we headed to Six Flags, which was really fun. Poor Courtney couldn't ride any of the fun rollercoasters as she is pregnant. This is one of the rollercoasters we went on; it is called "Poltergeist", and it was crazy. Needless to say, I had a headache after. I guess that happens when you start to get old.

Scooby-Doo was at Six Flags, so we got a picture with him.
