Derby Races

Luckily for us, we were still here for the annual pinewood derby races.  Last year, was our first taste, so this year we knew what to expect.  Tad and Dallin spent many, many hours perfecting the car, and it was awesome!  There were 26 cars total and each car got to race in each lane (there were 6 lanes total), so it was quite the event.  

The cars (well, most of them) of the Grove 2nd ward pinewood derby.

Dallin's is the black one with the silver stripe down the middle.

His car is currently in 2nd place....

 .....and he won that heat!!  He won a couple of heats and was all smiles!

 He finished in the top 10 and got 3rd place for the Bear Den.

The boy was in heaven!!
