...And then he was NINE!!

Dallin turned nine on Sept. 9th, but we had his party the day before.  He had ten friends over and they had a great time.  Eleven 8 year olds (or close to) can be crazy, but luckily we were able to have most of the party fun in our pool, so they could be loud and wild.  They were definitely LOUD and WILD!

First they had pizza & soda.

Then we made light sabers (out of pool noodles & duct tape) as we had a Lego Star Wars theme.
The party crew, from left to right:  Gavin, David, Ethan, Nick, Tyler, Dallin, Hershal, Kyle, Sam, Jacob, Brigham, Tyler P. & Brandon.

They carried on light saber fights to the poolside...

 Ready, Set....

 GO!!

Our first game was a wet t-shirt relay.  We divided the boys into teams and one at a time they had to put on the wet, oversized t-shirt then swim to the other side of the pool and back, then take off the t-shirt and hand it to the next teammate.  They loved it!

For our next game, we divided into different teams, then Tad & I threw 24 (per team) pingpong balls (a different color for each team) into the pool.  They jumped in one at a time and got their teams color ping pong ball, swam back, and put it in the laundry basket, then the next person went.  They were SO excited and competitive....I LOVED the looks on their faces!

 Go Team!!

Last, they had a water gun fight.  What boy doesn't love that?!

 Dallin's R2D2 cake I made.

My handsome, sweet 9 year old!!

We of course had to have Star Wars themed party favors.

Happy Birthday to my Dallin!  How time has flown, but we've loved it all with you!  We are so happy and blessed to have you in our family!

What a fun party! I knew you would be the one to throw wild parties with wet T-shirt contests for your kids :) You are a super fun mom, I can't wait to see you in a couple of months.
