One hundred and WHAT?!

When the weather has been this....

.....it is much too hot to be outside, unless it's in the pool, so we've had to come up with some fun things to do inside while we keep from melting....

Angry Birds is still very much alive at our house!  Ethan & Gavin have been playing this version or they use our couch cushions and their stuffed animal angry birds or they are often found "borrowing" Tad's and my iphone's to play.

The past two Sundays Tad, Dallin and I have spent MANY hours putting Star Wars ships back together that had gotten dismantled from the move or from certain "other little people" that live at our house.

My little munchkins have created their own little hide-out in our coat closet and have spent a few hours in there today playing/conspiring/laughing.  Thank goodness they are pretty imaginative and I haven't had to deal with the "I'm bored" too much.

Yep, it's weeks like these you just have to grit your teeth through and remember how nice it is here from October through March! And I'll take heat over snow-shoveling any day! :)

Here comes the bearer of bad news... this summer has actually been mild! Last August was the warmest EVER.

From a news article last year:

"On the whole, the summer of 2011 has been an especially hot one. On average, we see 18 days a year with temperatures at 110 or above. So far this year, we've already had over 25."

Thank heavens for A/C!
