I can't believe he's one already! Time seems to go by faster and faster with each child. On his birthday he opened his present, then we had a BBQ and Birthday party for him the next night with four families from our ward. I of course forgot to get pictures of all of our party guests.
He got a train that sings and recognizes letters, etc. Ethan had just as much fun playing with it as he did.
I decorated a little for his party with a blue and green color scheme. Our friends brought the most delicious salads to share, and we had hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill. We had a total of 18 kids and 10 adults over for the fun.

We got him his own little "smash cake". He immediately grabbed for it with both hands, then tried to get the frosting off of his hands, but couldn't, so he started crying. He wanted nothing to do with his cake after that. I guess he hated the feel of the frosting. I thought it was the cutest picture though.

will crane his head to one side to look at me if I'm not paying attention to him
will do something he knows he shouldn't and shake his head and say "no-no"

has nicknames of "Hanks", "Hanks-baby" and "Lo-Lo"
loves to be around his brothers and loves to play with their toys
will almost always eat cheese, yogurt and strawberries
is the best little sleeper
HATES to get dressed and hates to have his diaper changed
won't hold his own bottle for longer than a couple minutes because he knows mom & dad will
has the cutest little pout face and knows how to get mommy's attention
loves to point and loves to give "high fives"
We sure love our little Lo-Lo and can't wait to see his personality blossom even more. He brings such happiness and sweetness to our home.

Oh my word!! A year already?! Time does fly. What a fun party! We tried to make it, but you know... NJ traffic was a bear. :) I'm so glad you had a house full, I love it!
