Both of my brothers and their families came out for a visit, so we headed to NYC for two fun-filled days with 10 kids (one 6 mos. old & one 4 mos. old) and 6 adults. It was CrAzY and loads of good memories! I miss seeing my brothers and our nieces & nephews.
First off, we met our niece Makayla for the first time.
She and Logan hit it off well. Best buddies already!
One the way to the city, we added a few along the way....Ross & Kennedy.
All of us in Times Square.

Nothing says the streets of Manhattan like a hotdog and a pretzel.

Lovin' it up!
My sisters-in-law and I with our "babies".

A visit to Times Square isn't complete for us without a visit to Toys 'R' Us.
My kids dream of that place!
Kennedy and her stack of barbies she wants to get.
So dang cute!!
We walked, yes walked, up to Central Park where the adults played around as much as the kids did.
Are we sexy or what?
We ate at a restaurant called Mars 2112, complete with aliens and all.
Back to Times Square, as they wanted to see it at night.
A funny/cute story behind this picture:
In Times Square there were 4 policemen on horses just standing there letting people take their picture with them. Well, Ethan decided he wanted to go see the horses, but didn't notice a chair in his way (from the caricature artist in the street) and tripped over the chair and fell into the mud and water. His sweet cousin Ross gave him his jacket (the blue one he's wearing in the picture) as his was covered in mud and we cleaned the mud off of his face. All of this happened and he didn't cry. A few minutes later we made it over to see the policeman atop his horse and the policeman asked if he was the boy who he had just seen fall. Tad replied that he was, and the policeman said he was so brave and he gave Ethan the NYPD patch that he is holding in his hand in the picture. Ethan carried it around the rest of the night, as he wouldn't let us carry it, and put it in a special place in his room.
My brother Blake & I and our babes.
That night we also went to the Empire State Building, which Gavin loved. He is constantly talking about the big buildings in NYC and was so excited to be able to go to the top.
Day 2 we headed to the Statue of Liberty.
A view of lower Manhattan from the ferry to Liberty Island.
The crew on the pedestal of Lady Liberty with Manhattan in the background.
What a beautiful thing!

The kids wrestling and playing around on the grounds of Liberty Island.
After that we saw the 9/11 memorial (what was visible anyway) and then drove down Canal Street to do some shopping.
It was a great trip and wish they could come visit more often!
