Back to Reality....

Yesterday....

....and today

Yesterday we were lounging by the pool, and today we were sending Dallin off to first grade. I am sad to see my little buddy/helper/confidante go to school all day long. Ethan & Gavin missed him too, thank goodness they still have each other! Dallin said his first day of first grade was "good." All except for the part where he forgot to get off the bus at the right stop. By the time he realized it, he was at the next stop and crying. He told the bus driver, and he brought him back around to the right stop. Meanwhile, Ethan, Gavin and I are waiting on the front lawn for him and see the two neighbor boys get off, but no Dallin. So, we hop in the car and follow the bus. I saw my neighbor enroute and she said she saw Dallin on the bus crying and told the bus driver what stop he gets off at. (Thank goodness for good neighbors). We followed the bus back to our house and watched Dallin get off. (Sigh)

He told me he was talking with his friends and got distracted, so we went over how to know which stop is his etc. To his credit, the kindergarten bus driver would call out his name when it was his stop, so I guess he was expecting that. Poor guy, I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow goes better!
