Dallin finally lost his first tooth, and he was so excited. It had been loose for about two weeks, and he'd been wiggling it. Finally, while driving home from the library he pulled it out. It would be pretty uneventful except after that we went to the Farmer's Market, and he was showing Gavin his tooth when Gavin bumped his hand and his tooth went flying. We searched the dirty ground in front of the store which had little rocks, cigarette butts, and dirt a plenty for 20 minutes until we found it.
Then that night he wanted his tooth to be nice and clean for the tooth fairy to come, so he was in the bathroom brushing his missing tooth in the sink when it slipped and went down the drain. Tad took the piping underneath the sink apart, but no tooth. Dallin was very devastated!! I told him how he could write the tooth fairy a note and put it under his pillow, so he did. I wish I had taken a picture of the note because it was so cute and funny. Alas, the good tooth fairy still came and brought him two dollar bills and two quarters. Our tooth fairy is new at her job, and wasn't sure if this was the going rate or not??!! Oh well, hopefully he won't ask too many kids at school, as I have heard as high as $10 per tooth!

Love this story. Congrats to Dallin!
Yeah Dallin! I think it's so sad when they get their permanant teeth- they look too grown up! I'm glad to hear that the tooth fairy still made it to your house. Ammon swallowed the last tooth that he lost and we had to write a note too- it happens!
How cute!
I guess I have been out of the tooth fairy world for awhile, inflation really makes a difference, either that or my tooth fairy was a little stingy. My tooth fairy only gave coins.
Going rate around here is $1 per tooth (maybe our tooth fairy is stingy?) and ya $10 is a bit excessive! Glad I'm not in that part of tooth fairy land! :)
