Fun in the Fall

Since moving to New Jersey, Fall has become one of my favorite seasons. I love the smell in the air, the leaves as they change colors, eating cider donuts, and making pumpkin squares (delicious) to eat. I've learned to love Fall, even though that means winter comes next. Here are some of the fun things we've done.

Apple-picking at Alstede Farm with playgroup.
Now that Dallin has morning kindergarten, he misses out on playgroup :(

Some of the kids from playgroup at the apple orchard.

The beautiful leaves.

Last Sunday we went for a "look at the leaves" drive, and I took this shot of one of the lakes nearby.

Dallin & Ethan on our Sunday drive. (Gavin was asleep in the car).

Ethan enjoying the leaves in our backyard.
Poor Tad will spend hours raking and blowing all of these leaves up.

Last week as soon as Dallin got home from kindergarten, the kids and I headed to Ort Farm to pick our own pumpkins and play around.
Here's the pumpkin Dallin picked (not really).

The boys on the hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick their pumpkins.

Gavin found quite a few. "Convincing" him that he only needed one was the fun part.
He just enjoyed carrying them around, and pointing at all of them and saying, "THAT!"

Dallin on the haystack pyramid at the farm.

Then, we enjoyed feeding and petting the animals.
Every time Ethan saw an animal he would just squeal - he LOVES animals.
