Ethan & Gavin turn ONE!!

Ethan & Gavin turned one on February 6th. I can't believe that it has already been a year....time flies. Someone once told me, "The days are long, but the years fly by" and that is so true. We have truly been blessed to have these two little boys as an addition to our family. They are so sweet, yet very different in their personalities. We celebrated the big day by having a few friends come over for cake and ice cream. Dallin and I blew up some balloons and they had a great time playing with. It's amazing how easily entertained they are.

We did a Mickey themed "party." Of course, the boys probably had no idea there was a theme.
They didn't know what to think about everyone singing them Happy Birthday and watching their every move. It's a good thing they have an older brother to help them blow out their candles.

Ethan Grant Teeples

A few of our favorite things about Ethan:

1 - His adorable, contagious laugh (you can't help but to laugh yourself).

2 - When he gives kisses, which is frequently.

3 - That he is a momma's-boy and loves to be held.

4 - He loves to say "HUH" and waits for you to say it back, then he says it again and again - it's a fun game we often play.

5 - That he is feisty. He is often the "toy thief" and takes Gavin's toys away.

6 - When you tell him "no" he puts his head down on the floor and cries.

7 - He's the one Teeples with rhythm and he loves to dance to music.
8 - He signs "more", "eat" and "milk".

One year ago, born at 9:23 a.m.

Ethan at one year old.





We got each of them their own small cake with a number one on it. He immediately got a handful of cake and started squishing it in his hand. We weren't surprised at all.




He eventually got around to tasting it after he had his fill of squishing. It's a miracle that it's not in his hair yet.



Gavin Kade Teeples


A few of our favorite things about Gavin:

1 - He loves to be chased after.

2 - He screams when he sees Ethan coming because he knows that he'll try to take his toy.

3 - He is very mischevious and tries to get into everything.

4 - When Daddy gets home he immediately crawls up to him to be held and say hello. Then promptly wants to be put down and go back to playing.

5 - He is very persistent. When he wants something he won't stop until he gets it.

6 - He will go up to something he knows he is not supposed to play with and will turn around to see if you're watching him or not.
7 - His curly hair.

8 - If he feels something silky, he immediately rubs it with one hand, and sucks his thumb on the other hand. He loves his silky blankies!

Gavin at one year old.



He was very cautious and lightly touched the frosting with his finger a couple of times. He then tried to feed the frosting to Tad because he didn't want it on his hand.




Tad took his hand and squished it in the cake. He too eventually tried it and ate a little.
