Our little "superhero" turned 5!!

Dallin has loved superheros for a while now and is constantly dressing up as one, playing with the action figures or telling Tad and I that we're the"bad guys" and he needs to put us in jail or that we're in some sort of peril and he needs to save us. So, we had a superhero birthday party (again). Last year was Spiderman and this year we did Hulk and Spiderman. We had his party at a place called "Clown Around". It is a huge jungle gym where the kids can climb, jump, run, etc. Dallin and his friends had a great time.

Aren't these the coolest cupcakes? Thanks to Sam's Club. The kids loved them.

We put a "5" candle on the middle cake and had Dallin blow it out at his party.

Dallin and his friends from pre-school, church, and our neighborhood at his birthday party. He was completely spoiled with presents.

Here are a few of his
"Superhero Moments"
over the past year:

The Incredible Hulk. Didn't I do a great job painting his face? Yeah, I wish. We had it done at the mall, and he of course, loved it!

The friendly neighborhood Spiderman. I couldn't believe that this is one of the only pictures of him wearing this costume, so I tried to get one, and he wouldn't let me. He said Spidey doesn't like his picture taken. That must be why I don't have any more. This poor costume has been sewn at least 7 times to fix little holes of "where the bad guys caught his costume as he was getting away" as he says.

Batman. I am in the process of trying to fix this cape because it's been used so much.

Superman. He is so strong that he can even break chains with his bare hands.

Buzz Lightyear. This is his Halloween costume from last year.

Notice the self-made cape. If nothing else is available, then a towel, sheet or pillowcase and a clip is all you need.

Captain Jack Sparrow.

In honor of him turning 5, I wanted to share a few of his favorites:

foods: blueberries, chocolate, cantaloupe, bread

friend: Dominic Price (who moved to California a few months ago)

superheros: Spiderman and Hulk

place to eat out: Taco Bell (chicken quesadilla)

color: green

toys to play with: lego's, costumes, superhero figures, playmobil pirate ship

thing about pre-school: the playground

song: "Give said the little stream"

thing to wear: his character pajamas (I just can't bring myself to let him wear the character shirts, shoes, etc. So, he's got character pajamas and underwear).

stuffed animal/object: Ox (it's an "ugly doll" that Tad bought for him)

show: Spectacular Spiderman (cartoon), Mickey Mouse clubhouse, Little Einsteins

things to do: be silly and play with his brothers

what he wants to be when he grow up: when asked this, he ALWAYS says, "I never want to grow up. I want to stay a kid forever." He told me part of the reason for this is because if he grows up then his costumes won't fit him anymore.

things to say: "sock-foot" (means he's wearing socks as opposed to bear-foot).

"Well, yes, but...." (when I ask him if he did something wrong).

"That's a deal" (little does he know that most of these "deals" work in my favor).

"Na-Jersey" (he's got the accent down).

"When my brothers get as big as me....(He can't wait until they are a little older to play real games with him).

Oh my gosh I can not believe how big he is getting. And still as cute as ever. Sorry i have not responded life with a baby has taken some getting used too but i would not change it for the world!! We were thinking we need to fly out there and see you guys and the flowers. We need to just take a weekend and plan it that would be soo fun. It sounds like you get to see them often. We miss you all so bad the neighborhood is just not the same without the Teeples and Flowers!!!
