Birdhouses, sidewalk chalk & "pip-pops"

With Spring finally here, the boys and I have been itching to do some "spring-time" activities. So, we painted birdhouses...

...and hung them in our front yard.

We also made bird feeders from pinecones with peanut butter and birdseed. We placed one in our front yard and one in our backyard. Well, the next day, I looked out the window to check on them, and the one in the backyard was gone. I went out to investigate and noticed the twine that the pinecone hung from was broken, as if it had been pulled and pulled until it finally broke. I am pretty sure those darn squirrels got to it. So much for feeding the birds...guess we fed the squirrels too.

My boys have loved decorating our driveway this Spring with their beautiful drawings.

Here is another days work.

Lastly, with the warm weather I have broken out my flip flops. I LOVE to wear flip flops! I think they're so comfy and quick & easy. Gavin also loves my flip flops and calls them "pip pops". He told me he wanted some of his own. So, the other day we were at Target and I found some cute ones in his size and put them on him. He HATED them and how they felt between his toes. I guess no "pip pops" for Gavin this year.

Are you sure a bear didn't eat your bird feeder?!
