When the ultrasound technician told us we were "having a boy" I remember feeling so excited and I also remember thinking....broken bones, stitches, fights....here we come.
Well, Dallin decided it was time to accomplish one of these.
Stitches........CHECK!
Tad had a dinner meeting, so I decided it would be fun for the boys and I to head to McDonald's for dinner, then play on the playland.
We ate and were in the playland for less than 5 min. when I heard Dallin crying and he told me he had hit his head. So, I told him to come down and sit by me for a while. Well, as soon as he climbed out of the playland, another mom saw him first and went running over to him and yelled to me, "He's bleeding from his head."
I got it cleaned up and held pressure to his wound and realized that yes, he did need stitches. Thank goodness for two moms who just happened to be eating at McDonald's too that helped me hold pressure on his head and get him loaded into the car while I loaded Ethan & Gavin into the car.
We then went home and waited for Tad to get home (he left his dinner as soon as he got my phone call) because I wasn't quite sure how I was going to manage all three of them by myself in the E.R.
Dallin was so brave at the hospital that he didn't even cry when he got his "numbing shot" before he got his two stitches. Here he is the next morning, all ready for school and ready to show off his new "battle wound".

Oh man. He is now a real boy.
I am not looking foward to that day.
How did you manage to have him hold out on getting stitches for so long? Brett has already had them three times, and not yet five! Hope he is feeling better!
Craziness! Difference between boys and girls is the boys suck it up and think it's cool. Dawn is not so great on thinking it's cool lol. Boys will be boys I suppose :)
